"I come from a proud and dynamic family who taught me the importance of public service by putting the needs of those in need ahead of my own.  I want to work for you and with you to make our district a proud and strong district that fairly reflects the beauty of our diversity.  We need to create more jobs that are beneficial to our residents, improve our schools, push for equity in all sphere, fight for immigrant rights and protections, for quality affordable housing, public safety, affordable and practical transportation options and environmental protections.  With almost 20 years' experience as an attorney and over 20 years' experience as an advocate and activist who has worked closely with the community and elected officials on community issues, I am more than ready to represent this district and ensure that our diverse voices are heard and that our district is well-represented on the council."
