Education

I will fight to ensure that students in need of special education receive the appropriate public education services that is due to them; this includes ensuring that the children receive proper special education and related services.

I will fight to ensure that appropriate funds are allocated to meet the educational needs of our children, including funding to address the loss of educational gains, especially after the pandemic, to repair and build new and better schools.

Transportation

On the Council, I will fight for access to affordable and practical transportation options. We have to ensure that our district is afforded the same opportunity to access different parts of the county with ease.

Housing/Economic Development

On the Council, I will fight for proper housing and economic development.

Many of our small businesses have been hurt by this pandemic and our neighbors are struggling to stay in their homes.

I will fight to ensure that the economic development slated for our residents by working in collaboration with county officials and developers to foster proper training for district residents and proper outreach to the community for employment opportunities.

I will fight to ensure that affordable and proper housing is provided our residents, including renters and owners.

I will fight to ensure that the slated revitalization of White Oak (the White Science Gateway Master Plan) benefits all residents, including working to ensure that the area is not gentrified to the extent of severely displacing the current residents.

I will fight for worker's rights and safety in the workplace. A safe working environment and fair wages makes for a good employee which makes for a successful company and results in a good economy.

Healthcare

On the Council, I will fight for affordable quality healthcare.

I will fight for affordable quality healthcare for all.

I will fight for affordable health insurance policies.

I will fight for affordable quality women's health services.

I will fight for affordable Black women's health.

Public Safety

On the Council, I will fight for proper policing and safety in our communities.

I will work to ensure that the current police legislation put in place are enforced and ensure public safety at the hands of the police.

I will work with the police, community and other elected officials to ensure police safety while they perform their jobs.

We need to ensure that police stops are done equitably and that the police apply de-escalation tactics.

We need to ensure that proper funding is provided to address the root cause of many of our community issues that lead to police involvement.

We need funding for mental health services to substitute some instances where we call the police.

Immigrant Rights & Protections

On the Council, I will fight for immigrant rights and protections.

Many of our immigrant neighbors protected us during this terrible pandemic and we must make sure that their rights are protected.

Environmental Justice

On the Council, I will fight for sensible environmental policies that will protect our district today and for future generations.

Our district's food desert must be addressed as well as the energy deficiencies.

Senior Services
On the Council, I will fight to ensure that legislation focused on senior services is made priority.

I will fight to ensure that those of our older population who want to continue to be active, will have access to jobs - give incentives to businesses to hire our older population.

Our seniors have given a lot for us to do what we are able to do and it is our responsibility to ensure that their needs are met.
